Would it work in the UK? -
I try to get across the importance of an online presence to students during my online journalism lectures.
I use Josh Halliday as an example because he is a talented and driven young man who grasps opportunities and it has paid off. Same goes for the other two. -
Grassroots newspaper reporting how to from Greg Hadfield.
When I was a trainee reporter I was advised "know your patch". When I was a junior reporter I turned up to the opening of an envelope in Beaconsfield, Bucks. As Greg points out, it works.
