About

This blog is here to express my thoughts about the future of online journalism and tools I find useful.

Many of these posts are aimed at new journalists and those keen to learn more about online journalism from my perspective.

Since November 2009, I have hosted online journalism workshops for NCTJ trainee journalists at Brighton City College. I hope they find this useful.

My thoughts are my own.

My career has included working as production editor and community manager at Journalism.co.uk; digital content and social media editor for the Worthing Herald and Chichester Observer series; production editor of the Littlehampton Gazette; a member of Johnston Press’s national tech-ed group; a features sub editor and writer for Trinity Mirror Southern and a reporter for the Buckinghamshire Advertiser and Examiner series.

I have worked in the newspaper industry since 1992.
